Oddpool is closed to new subscriptions

Looking for an Oddpool alternative?

As of 23 August 2026, Oddpool's pricing page carries a notice: “Oddpool is no longer accepting new subscriptions. Existing subscriptions and free accounts continue as normal.” If you were about to sign up for Pro and found that door closed, here is an honest account of what Oddpool did well and where MarketMaster lands.

The short answer

Oddpool was strongest as data infrastructure — a generous free tier, hundreds of dashboards, paper trading, and a serious API with WebSocket streaming.

MarketMaster covers the same two venues with a free scanner, machine-verified arbitrage at $12.99/month, and an API that starts free and reaches 1,000,000 requests for $29.99/month. It has no paper-trading mode, and it does not pretend to.

Side by side

Oddpool figures are its published tiers as of 23 August 2026. Pro and Premium are shown for reference — they are not currently purchasable by new customers.

Oddpool tiers are listed as published; its pricing page marks Pro and Premium as not currently available.

Credit where it is due

Oddpool built things we have not, and it is worth being straight about that.

What Oddpool did better

  • Paper trading on the free tier. A safe way to test a strategy before risking money. MarketMaster has no equivalent.
  • Breadth of dashboards. 750+ prebuilt views is a lot of surface area for exploratory work.
  • Enterprise data delivery. Historical microstructure data, S3 dumps and custom formats with an SLA. We do not offer this.
  • A lower whale threshold. Oddpool tracked $500+ trades; MarketMaster's smart-money feed starts at $10k+, which is a deliberately different signal.

Where MarketMaster goes further

  • It is open for business. The simple one. You can subscribe today.
  • Arbitrage is verified, not just detected. Both legs are machine-checked to settle on identical criteria; ambiguous pairs are withheld rather than printed as risk-free.
  • Priced at live asks with real fee curves. Kalshi's fee varies with price, so a flat estimate is wrong at the tails. Opportunities are ranked by annualised return, not raw spread.
  • A real middle API tier. $9.99/month for 50,000 requests fills the gap between a free key and a million-request plan.
  • An MCP server so Claude or Cursor can query live edges directly.

If you are migrating

Your Oddpool free account keeps working, so there is no rush and no reason to take our word for any of this. Open the live scanner in another tab and compare the two on the same markets for a week.

The one thing worth checking early is the API, since that is the part with code depending on it. A free MarketMaster key is 1,000 requests a month — the same allowance Oddpool's free tier gave — which is enough to port an integration and diff the outputs before you pay anything.

Keep using Oddpool for

Paper trading, its dashboard library, and any enterprise data feed you already have in place. A working free account is still a working free account.

Move to MarketMaster for

Arbitrage scanning you can actually buy, resolution-verified pairs, EV and quarter-Kelly sizing, alerts, and an API with a tier between free and a million requests.

Questions people actually ask

Is Oddpool shutting down?

Not exactly. As of August 2026 Oddpool's own pricing page states that it is no longer accepting new subscriptions, and that existing subscriptions and free accounts continue as normal. So current users are not cut off, but new users cannot buy the Pro or Premium tiers that contain arbitrage scanning and whale tracking.

What was in Oddpool's free tier?

Oddpool's free plan included 750+ dashboards, cross-venue search, historical charts, paper trading, one API key with 1,000 monthly requests and one WebSocket connection. Arbitrage scanning, the market-differences dashboard and whale tracking sat in the $30/month Pro tier.

Does MarketMaster have paper trading?

No. MarketMaster has a trade journal that syncs your real positions from a read-only Kalshi API key or public Polymarket wallet and reports realised P&L, win rate and a skill rating. If simulated trading specifically is what you want, that is a genuine gap on our side.

How do the API limits compare?

Oddpool's free tier gave 1,000 requests a month with one WebSocket connection; Pro at $30/month gave 1,000,000 requests and 3 connections. MarketMaster's free API key is also 1,000 requests a month, API Starter is $9.99/month for 50,000, and API Pro is $29.99/month for 1,000,000 requests with 10 WebSocket connections.
